In the very distance of the picture are Kyle and Lisa walking down Valencia At 23rd at the beginning of their shoping adventure yesterday. I dropped them off with a handful of quarters and a Muni map and told them to call me only if they got lost. 6 hours later they made it to Pacific Heights and Mormor's new apartment. Kids are like boomerangs--they return when hungry and out of money.
We ended up at the Elite Cafe (2049 Fillmore St. 414-67ELITE) for one of the best dinners we've ever had. Lisa had the Seared Ahi, done to perfection. Kyle had the Kobe Beef Brisket and licked his plate clean (see picture). Susan had the Cajun Shrimp Skillet with 4 small bisquits (the house specialty) and I had Bananas Foster--skipped dinner and went straight to dessert. Uncle Mo had the Pulled Pork--YUM! There wasn't a thing wrong with the meal. Sara the server was "fantastic"--a word she used often but it worked for her. Only minus--not a good people watching place as most of the seats are in individual booths. Will definitely eat there again.
