I love how forgiving knitting can be. If something doesn't work out--rip away (knitty term for unraveling). I am the queen ripper. This is a sweater Lisa knit last year and doesn't like. NO problem--let Mom the Ripper fix it. The yarn it now earmarked for a very cute shrug that I'll get to.......sometime soon.
As we send the big kid off, we realize we are left with the neat, organized one who doesn't eat nearly as much and takes up very little space. Oh, and her friends are all under 6 feet tall. Yesterday as we were cleaning out her closet she ran off to get my new love---the Label Maker! Genetics are an amazing thing. She is definitely my daughter. Oh what fun we had. Notice the labels on her drawers to make sure her sweaters don't get mixed up with her jammies. The horror.
Kyle has called twice and apparently all is well. The loosely organized pre-pre season is somehow organizing itself and we haven't had to feed or house anyone yet. He'll come back on Friday to pack (finally) and have his last dinner before heading to Baltimore. It still hasn't hit me that he's leaving.
